Long Range Target System
Some questions have come up about the Long Range system. First, Long Range is a target management system that allows clubs to collect payment for targets thrown and capture information about target usage. Partridge Creek chose Long Range after reviewing other vendors and options, but ultimately chose Long Range as it offers a self-service kiosk which supports our clubs business model.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What does Long Range do that Promatic did not?
Long Range provides a credit card based self-service kiosk that allows members to add “cash” to their target card.
What is this cash card?
Just like Promatic, Long Range uses a plastic card as a means to throw targets. Our new Long Range cards will now hold the “cash” that you put on the card. One card will work for all venues at the club. You can use the kiosk to load more money onto the card when you are out of cash. Cards are reusable.
I have a prepaid Promatic Card with targets on them. Now what?
We will credit your Promatic target count to your new Long Range card when we issue cards. If you have Skeet/Trap coins, we will also credit the monetary value of those coins to your card.
I have 100 Skeet and Trap Coins. Now what?
You will receive the monetary value of the coins you purchase. Current skeet and trap fees of $3 will remain in effect until Long Range is completely installed. Once fully installed, the skeet and trap prices will increase to $4 as planned.
Can members use checks or cash to add targets?
Yes, but that requires a staff member to be present and update your card. To support this, we will set up limited times at the club when members can meet with a staff member to do this. You can carry up to $500 on your card at a time and always check how much is left at any card reader around the club.
If I do a workday, can I have my $150 credited to my target card?
Yes, this is the ideal method as it is quicker and more cost-effective for the club.
What if I lose my card?
Let's start with this: The card holds “cash" on it. It has value and needs to be treated like your credit card or the money in your wallet. It is the member's responsibility to maintain control of their card. To help with this, members will be provided with lanyards. There is no need to write your name on the card since the card can quickly be traced back to you if lost.
If a card is lost, replacing it will take time. We have to look at records to determine the value remaining on the card. After that, a new card will be made, and the member will incur a replacement fee.
How do I work the system?
When a card is issued to a member, training will be provided on how to use the system. Staff will also be trained on how to support members. Simply put, if you have pumped gas or use self-checkout at a store, you are all set.
